Ok so L got a clean bill of health.......well almost Yay me!!!! There is no sign of infection, just the thin, clear, post nasal mucus.....which is "just one of those things, that he will eventually outgrow".... When? At age 21???? Anyway........

J and I, on the other hand, have been given antibiotics for 5 days for an upper respitory tract infection. Nice.
You're right C...I'm glad we went straight through and didn't wait. The homeopathic stuff isn't quite quick enough to be effective/helpful at this stage. And we don't exactly want to be infecting L.

I hate antibiotics but by last Friday I accepted that it was a no deal with the homeopathic stuff because I wasn't taking it as often as I was supposed to.

I must be honest but as much as I despise anti-biotics, it gets rid of infections quick so I have given up fighting it. The last time I would not take anti-biotics I ended up in hospital

I am still on my drugs and my sore throat has yet to go away. A little concerning because I have 1 days supply of antibiotic left and it doesn't seem to have worked. Dee, I say go to the GP and get some strong stuff and don't do what I did by waiting 3 weeks before going that route.

Hi girls! I'm here quick. The entire family is off to the GP at 16h00 - we all have snot noses, sore throats etc.. L has his constant post nasal story, but I'd like the doc to just confirm that it hasn't gone into his chest/ears/no infection etc.. and that I can continue with 'self medication'. J and I, I suppose, are just looking for a quick fix to alleviate the symptoms as (and I don't need to tell all of you this!!) we don't have time to be sick and need to get a decent night's sleep. Oi....winter!!!!!! I'm so peeved actually, as I thought I was doing such a good job 'protecting' everyone and boosting our immune systems with Vit C etc.. So much for that! Hope it at least helps to lessen the severity and get rid of it quicker???
