R, try a warm bath or a heat pack in the lower back, followed by a cold pack. I was told to sit on one of those pilates balls to help too.

Very normal in your second pregnancy, feels almost like someone has kicked you in the kidneys? I got that early on in my second pregnancy and couldn't wear heels for my entire pregnancy.

I seem to remember that you get pains like that because your body is adjusting and expanding/stretching to accomodate baby and is also preparing for birth. You say there is no bleeding/discharge, so I don't see that there is any sign of 'danger'.

Is this normal???

Post by Raquel on 17th March 2008, 5:22 pm

For the last 3 days or so I have been having period like pains and my lower back has a dull ache, im not sure if this is normal cause I have forgotten so much about my last pregnancy?
I have no spotting or bleeding, no strange discharge and baby is moving nicely. We also saw the gynae a few days ago and all was perfect.
What do you thing ladies?
or should we ask Neil that too, he seems to have all the answers lol!
