I have a old cast iron flat bottom pot that my dad gave me (he kept the huge potjie pot - people used it to make soap in), and it is my absolute pride and joy. Pot roasts, potbrood, potjie, one pot wonders, everything!

Stupid Question

Embarassed Ok, stupid question from the "Kitchen Challenged" chick!!:

Can I put the lid of my cast iron pot in the oven? It does say 'Ovenproof Cookwell' on the handle of the lid, but ja???????????? I'm wanting to make a pot roast type thing huhohi
